New to the union, union leadership, executive board?  Want to feel more confident and informed in your role as a union member and leader?  Want to figure out how you can be more involved in your union?  Join us on the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of the month starting February 16th, 2021 from 6:30pm-8pm for series of trainings and discussions 
 
Topics
  • What is a union? Feb. 16th from 6:30pm-8pm  This is a training which will over the basic ideas of unions, what they are, and why they matter. This is a great training for folks who are new to the union or want to build a stronger union in their workplace.
  • Rights on the Job! March 2nd from 6:30pm-8pm Join us to discuss what our rights on the job under the union and how you can ensure you and your co-workers rights are protected in the workplace.  This is an ideal training for any union member.
  • Grievance handling Part 1- March 16th from 6:30pm-8pm Join us for a two-part series on how to handle grievances in your workplace.  This is a great training for folks who are building reps, e-board members, and chapter chairs.  
  • Grievance handling Part 2- April 6th from 6:30pm-8pm The second part of the two-part series on how to handle grievances in your workplace.  This is a great training for folks who are building reps, e-board members, and chapter chairs.  
  • Contract bargaining- May 4th from 6:30pm-8pm New to bargaining?  Want to have a better understanding of how it works?  Come get an overview of contract bargaining, some of your rights, and some good strategies.
  • Solving Workplace Problems- May 18th from 6:30pm-8pm Want to figure out ways to get resolutions of issues in your workplace?  Want ideas on how to make the union stronger?  Join us for this session!
